Let’s Celebrate TOG!

Four years ago, Rawside were overwhelmed/ overjoyed/ shocked/ delighted to be chosen by The Office Group (TOG) to collaborate on their modern office furniture offering across their portfolio. Together we explored different finishes and products to develop the best offering for their clients. Our joint commitment to sustainability and longevity were a great match and made the creative process a joy.

Since then, we have not only worked on furnishing many of their offices, but we’ve also continued the creative journey by developing products for them in collaboration with their design team. For the team here at Rawside, it was like being given the keys to the Aladdin’s cave of furniture!

TOG’s design team shared with us some great concept designs for new desks, team tables and storage. Following various iterations, which involved assessing different finish options, colour ways and material possibilities, together we created a manufactured solution that we’re all really proud of.

The products developed included a slab ended co-work table, dedicated desks, studio tables, lockers and meeting tables.

Attention to detail was key for the TOG team and Rawside worked with them to ensure that nothing was compromised, whilst still being mindful that the solutions could be mass manufactured at the right price point. When TOG had a vision for their co-work benches to look like a piece of joinery while still maintaining the functionality of our standard products, we set to work and achieved this vision by making the functional items (e.g. the cable tray) out of the same material as the main body of the furniture. Rawside’s ability to rapidly prototype from the blueprint designs allowed quick decisions to be made that helped to tweak the products and craft the final solutions.

The target building for the first installation of these new products was TOG’s very own HQ – a space beautifully and meticulously designed by the TOG team. The products were crafted to suit the specific locations of their placement resulting in an interior design that looked totally bespoke and crafted. The combination of functionality and variety in the types of furniture have created an environment to suit all types of working and collaboration whilst providing the hard-wearing properties inherent in all Rawside products.

Such was the success of the project; TOG have now decided to consider this increased product portfolio across their estate. It’s an exciting road ahead and we’re thrilled to be on this journey with them.
